Band Description
Guitar phenom Gary Tackett's music has been described as “Delbert McClinton meets Eric Clapton at the Crystal Palace in Bakersfield.” Playing since the age of 10, he learned the famous “Chicken Picken” guitar-style firsthand while growing up in the Central Valley outside of Bakersfield, CA.

He had already amassed quite a career playing as a Nashville sideman for such acts as Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin, Eddy Raven, Tammy Cochran, and Billy Currington, before moving to the Bay Area in 2004 to pursue his solo career. Since then his band Full Moon Rude released an eponymous album and Tacket has become a full-time member of Bay Area country stalwarts Trailer Park Troubadours.
